My skis have been ready since August!
I am just now starting to jog and do some serious exercises! Ellistine,,,,that was not fair!!! I was hoping NOt to view any ski resort sites for at least another month! I feel like the man in the desert who "sees" that mirage....... I will remember! |

I forgot to tell you about this jacket! It is house trained,,however when it begins to snow it does get "agitated" so you must take it out! As the winds pick up in the chair you will notice that it tends to cuddle closer to your neck. Do not worry, it is not trying to "choke" you. I have inserted a "chip" in the left section of the collar. This chip will activate an elastic which will tighthen at -20c! Also,,,you will note that there is an Ipod sleeve on the left side. This also is wired to a chip which generates vibrations in tune to the music! Try the Beach Boys on steep section! I would avoid all Pink Floyd music while skiing! Finally this prototype also has a heat activated Spyder! Do you remember the "mood" rings of the 60's? Well the Red spyder logo on the right side will change tones of red as you ski! I could never figure if it is related to my ski speed or my "fear" level! Anyway ,,you will have others skiers tell you about this! By nice to jacket! |

Just to let you know that "the Nigerian" scam has hit this site. If you list an article to sell someone will contact you! I have been "corresponding" with my Nigerian friend for 3 weeks now ( with the police monitoring all messages)! Yes we located server and person!
Here is how it works. A nice "skier" will tell you that they are interested in your XXX. After several messages they will tell you how they trust you ,,so they will send you a check for MORE than the amount you want! All you have to do is cash in "check" keep amount you want,,and an "associate" will collect the rest! In my case the boots I was selling for $200 would result in receiving a "check" of $5,000! All I had to do was give an "associate" $4,800 and keep $200 for me! Problem is the check is invalid!!!! Be careful!!! PS "Associte" is now behind bars! The server has been notified! But..... |

Ha the Leek story!!!
I really have to be careful what I say on the net,,,,,it stays in cyber space for people to pick up! I had forgotten that Leek Story!!! Great memories! The essence to all of this is; forget all the mental gymnastics and just let the "child" in you come out! Enjoy your exploration in the moguls! If you are overwhelmed,, perhaps it is time to get back to basics,,,,then have another go at the leeks!!!! Is it not wonderful to see children enjoy and learn about skiing without all sorts of "technical" issues!!! Jan, did your mother know you did all those "strange" moves with poles!!!! ....and one day some young lad will "explore" the net and see that picture! Is that dad!!!!!!! hummmmm!!!! The ultimate piece of ski equipment that is not needed, that is dangerous,,, that is out of this world! I know you will not believe me so I will provide source at end of this message. I also called firm who makes this "item" to see if it is really for sale or just a marketing gimmick! Yes it is for sale at $4,000. Yes you read correctly $4,000!!!! Are you ready for the shock!!!! It is called the SPORTILLETO! Leave it to the Italian shoe industry to make a +8 inche stilleto !!!!! There is a picture in Ski Presse if you do not believe me! Heading to text is, "Snowboarding Ready to Sizzle in stilleto" Featured at the Milan shoe show this Fall!!! Seems 4 units were already sold!!!! I would to find out who the buyers are!!!! Keep your eyes open in your local ski center!!! What can I say!!!!! |

I think what you are referring to Mike is the ski base from an Elan ski that De-laminated!
That "ribbed" part you see is the inside of the ski base! It is a fiberglass layer which is glued to ski base! The upper right item on a ski tip , is the same base layer from the same ski but from the tail section! What amazed me is that no one got the long thong leather strap in the center of picture! I guess you are all too young to know the pleasures of the long thong! Alos you all did not see the very famous VR 17 Dynamic ski! First all fiberglass ski which Jean-Claude Killy ( who????) used to win many many medals! Imagine skied a 207 cm. SL ski ,,,and it was very very nervous! If ever I ski with any of you I will give you for one or two runs a Volkl Super G 210 cm. ski to try! You will appreciate the new ski designs! Cheers |
