I agree with snowb4ndit on this one. We took our first ski holiday last year in Arinsal in Andorra and we're going back next week as we didn't ouski the resort and the ski schools were excellent. Will probably try the alps next year though. Andorra was good value and isn't much heavier on the pocket than Bulgaria. We did toy with the idea of Bulgaria this year and now i'm soooo glad we didn't opt to go as the snow conditions are extremely poor and had read some dubious reports about Bulgaria

Why don't you cancel Borovets and go somewhere else? I don't suppose you'll lose much money if you switch now, seeing as you're not going until next year. There are loads of much better places, which may not even cost more (depending on how much you're paying for Borovets). If you tell us what you're paying I'm sure someone will come up with a much better holiday possibly even for the same price.

the total price was £665 thats for a week in the Flora hotel. with skiing lessons, lift pass and equipment. i paid half of it at the time.... dunno if that was a gd thing. if i change ill lose the money. could always look into trying change for a later date.
We only decided to go Borovets as the guy in the travel agents said its a good place for beginners. all i care about is will there be snow!

What was the date?

It's not that Borovets is particularly good for beginners, it's that beginners are the only ones who can be persuaded to go there :D
(Not quite true, but generally correct as after you've skied elsewhere it's unlikely you'll want to go back to Borovets).

Snowbandit,
Sm4sh said it was First Choice in the other thread on 'what if there's no snow?'.

Yes, I've just read it. First Choice T&C's say that there will be a £35pp admin fee if you change your holiday more than 70 days from departure. Obviously that apply's to Sm4sh as there are still 300 and something days to go. For the price you have paid I am sure you could get a similar deal in Andorra.
