Quality product FQ, look like they've been used in Scotland for a few seasons!

This year in BG they tried to give my 10 year old a pair of what looked like old Alpine skinny straight skis, after some arm waving they drafted in some carvers from another shop.

All part of the experience eh?
We'll be fine!

MyBorovets.com uses Hunters because all their equipment is brand new... I wouldn't trust some of the dubious looking ski shops around the resort :)

Look at these Skis a shop in a certain 4* hotel tried to rent to one of our party. These were the best condition Skis they had available  . Needless to say we made him return them and we went elsewhere. This was through a major TCO as well.

Were they Orion ski's by any chance?

LOL sounds like you may have had a pair similar. No, I am pretty sure they were Salomons.

Twinners hired my daughter a damaged pair of skis and boots in La Rosiere, but when we took them back, they exchanged them for a lovely pair of roxy skis at no extra cost (I'd paid for cheaper skis), and the only problem I had then was getting them away from her at the end of the holiday!

I don't remember there being anything wrong with the skis and boots my kids hired in Borovets. They looked well used, that was all, whereas all the ones we hired subsequently in other places looked pretty new.

Amazing what you pick up the more you go. If you were first timers, you'd get palmed off with all sorts of garbage gear. Strangely enough, when asked in Andorra what sort of skis I wanted, and then told them what I owned etc, a nice shiny pair of Stockli's were produced. Innit

I had my own ski's but my hubby didn't at the time, the equipment they gave him was appauling. They were Orion's and I remember vividly seeing battered old Orion skis everywhere I looked that week and beginners completely unaware what they had been fobbed off with.

Hi Adam
We were out there last 27th Dec to 3rd Jan,
same dates this year as we had such a great time.
Have had so many conflicting reports on how much snow there is,
could you tell us what skiing condition's are like.
Might see you out and about there, 22 of us this year are stopping at the Rila.
Cheers Neil
