Thats impressive, I am very envious. I managed 16 days on skis, so you did doublle what I did. I hate you already.

When I finally post some photos up, is there an upper hate level you can move onto?

empty slopes for closing at Zinal, should have photographed the téléphérique as today was the last day with the old cabines.

Ise

Is there enough snow for the lifts to continue (looks like it from that shot!) or is it an economic decision?

When I was in Arosa in March, I was told it was April 19 and that was it - even if there was a great pile of fresh powder. Seems a shame to close if there's still good sport to be enjoyed.

Some of the tiny stations can be flexible about closing or opening but larger ones need to predict when the snow's going to be there and when people will be around. Tourists don't ski much after Easter regardless of how late or early that is.

Time to do other things, the snow's melting and things to do, some more touring still up high though maybe.

Thanks. More fool them tourists that don't; I've had some grand, uncrowded skiing in late April - and off again tomorrow! :)
