It also goes through the woods for a long way after this nice straight face.

Thanks, looks really steep and quite long, for me would require serious pivot slips and sliding all the way down!...i posted some of Black at Zurs with my boy in Austria thread...just learning more about mountains and difficulties..

here is one of Red at Lech of the Steinmahder lift, at the back above over Lech and under the Mohnenfluh, for an low intermediate skiier like me, these were brutally steep and mogully ... if you have opinions on difficulty please elaborate

and this is the Red above Zurs off the Ruffikopf, all pretty hard for yours truly:

You have kids and family who ski with you in Zinal?

Not my own, but I was skiing with 2 little un's last week, who are quite happy on the black runs. The elder boy has Autism, skis quite well, and is very good at reading piste directions. Both enjoy riding the lifts without a parent to slow them down, and skiing the blacks by themselves.

For you, at your stage of development, the run from Zinal to Grimentz would exhaust you, and take you most of a morning or afternoon I reckon. It gets pisted, but once you start down it, there is no bale out option. You could always take the ski bus, lots of folk do, as the run in question is often closed due to avalanche risk :D

Yes, agreed, tows/poma's/drag lifts/buttons/T-bar's are all rather an acquired taste

But it is all part of skiing, in a way the slow tows, drags Buttons and T's serve a purpose in delaying the masses from hitting the runs all at the same time, you know what I have never experienced a T bar, if i went to Austria I could lose my T bar Virginity...
