Keep the faith folks! It's coming...

Pyrenees look like getting some useful snow by the weekend, with West and North Alps cooling significantly (to below December averages - so properly cold) and Eastern Alps cooling a little less (but still getting cold).

Expect to see the forecasts change a lot over the next week, as the weather systems transition, but it looks like the "change to cold" is pretty much locked-in for most parts now. A fair chance of snow as the current weather pattern breaks down, although West and North looking most favoured right now (that likely will change).

If you're heading for the mountains next week, you can forget the t-shirts... 8)

Cervinia has tonnes on the webcams. Down to village. -21 forecast for Monday - eek

Passo seems to have had a fair bit for starters along with areas of the Milky Way
