Football is also great for getting injured
I avoid during the winter - always pick up stupid knocks (especially playing 5s).

AllyG, Thanks for the tips on further exercises.
I have been a bit occupied packing and unpacking my case. How much or little to bring and so on.
Traveling for one, and got to get it right.
The time flies, and I have read Betty's cider drink. I will give that a go as well.
It sounds cleansing and an antioxidant drink as well.
Vincentus
I also find stretching in the mornings before skiing for a good 10 mins helps massively !

This is the first year I haven't trained much having given up regular Saturday football last April, so only weekly five-a-side mainly and the odd trip to the Gym.
Managed to ski 130km (straight line distance) in 4 days last week and could walk home, though day 1 was very tough unpisted conditions due to heavy overnight snow, I did suffer a bit of cramp in my left thigh on the last stretch back, but that was down to me not drinking enough on a warm day!

I usually got pretty wild in the gym on my legs in the summer, preparing for the winter, during winter just try to keep fit and focus on my cardio rather than my muscle

I am back home now, and very pleased that I did all those exercises. I didn't have any problems with my legs at all - they didn't even ache during the lessons, and I had masses of energy for climbing gondola stairs carrying skis etc.
So, everyone yet to go, I suggest you keep going with whatever particular exercise program suits you :D
