Hate skiing!!

If you wait until you need a euro's worth you end up 70 cents up on the deal.
Actually the most accurate weather forecast I've ever got in a ski resort was from a toilet fee collector in ADH.
The thing I really hate is people that smoke next to you on a chair lift, disgusting habit. Why go to somewhere pollution free and then light up?
Yep with you on this Snapzzz.
Got very good over the years at holding up the bar until the tiddlies or novices I am with are sorted and also at the other end .....
Stopping those numbsculls who seem to want to raise the bar about 3 minutes before you get to the top.
Can be very scary if the lift comes in steep with a drop and/or rocks underneath.
Or someone says "bar down" and pulls it down, just as you are taking off and still getting settled. Also on chairs without foot rest, the person next to you who's skis are at 45 degrees at the same height as yours.

Yes, totally agree! I had the same with the "birmingham flight", but at least we did have some of them on our bus
I dislike about skiing holidays....the 4 letter word begginning with F....
FEAR!
The biggest fear being that my bag does not come with me. All confident when there is a small 10 minute delay, "yeah its ok, I am insured just buy new gear la la la,,,,"
Then after 20 minutes the sinking feeling starts and can see day 1 drifting away
Luckily, I have never had the 2nd or the worse happen to me. But I still have the FEAR that it will every year without fail!!
I also dont like the people (normally Brits) that do "public talking". That being, speaking to their mates but doing it so loud that the rest of the cable car/lift/gondala/slope/resort can hear them and their brave antics about skiing on rocks or getting friendly with the little french girl last night

Tony_H wrote:Only toilets I found where payment was required was top of Marmottes lift in ADH, some jobsworth sitting at a desk demanding 30 cents for a pee.
I didnt have change in my pocket so clenched my bum cheeks and skied down to the bottom where there is no charge.
Never come across for charging to go anywhere else.

Iceman, i agree.....
Watching that carousel go round and round and seeing others pick up their bags is torture.
I was thinking "should i really have packed my boots in my ski bag"....

People that slam the safety bar down before you are ready.
Poor old little snapzzz had her poles jammed across her stomach and trapped under the bar so she couldn't breath in flaine.
The ignorant buggers didn't even look and just slammed it down and i couldn't lift it as they all had there skis on the rests.
I was screaming at them !
look and ask before making decisions for others.
