Oh yes, thanks Iceman, I forgot about that one :D

12. Worrying that I won't be able to sleep at night and I'll be too tired to ski the next day because of the altitude, the strange bed, all the excitement, the snow-plough machines going all night and all the drunks yelling outside my window.

Oh and it seems to be a perfect example of the trouble I sometimes have with the smilies etc. even though I am not using a mobile.

There is absolutely nothing I can honestly say I hate about skiing. Ok there are a few things we all moan about a bit, but hate? Come on.

People moan about putting their boots on in the mornings - keep them warm and they slip on much easier. If you can't get your fit straight in you're doing something wrong.

I prefer not to have to walk far to get a lift, but its all part of the scene if you have to or jump on a bus. Theres a sense of excitement every morning for me no matter what I'm doing or where I am.

I do have a dislike of queuing for lifts, which is why I'm always up early to get up and away before any crowds, or why I always ski at non peak weeks avoiding holiday periods.

Boarders? No, I don't hate them at all. Ok theres banter, but you have to respect each other. A good boarder off piste looks amazing. HOWEVER I do get annoyed when they sit right over the brow of a hill right across the slope. Why do they do that? Thats when they get a sharp turn and plenty of snow across their backs

I don't like it when whoever i am skiing with wants to finish early, but I usually end up doing a few runs on my own if thats the case.

I don't even mind packing, its all part of the fun, even coming back. Its a precise military operation packing the ski bags anyway.

Coach journeys up mountain roads.....for the spectacular views you get, why not?

I guess the only thing that really gets me down is coming home and knowing someone else is out there on the snow. But I dont hate it. I just come on here, or look on webcams, or read books, etc etc.

You lot all know what I mean, you've all got the same illness anyway 8)

Dislike, not hate then.....

I still can't think of Amy others, the longest I have queued for a lift in the last few year is about 4 minutes.

Jeez, i thought that was just my nurotic self. I worry for about 2 weeks prior that some git is going to give me the flu or something. In fact this year i very nearly had the flu jab for this very reason.

I would happily look myself in a clean room for a week or so just like astronauts do.

I can think of some more things I hate/dislike:

13. The snow, sometimes. Like, for example, trying to ski on snow like pebbles of concrete, or deep powder like porridge (just kept falling over and the instructor said it's almost impossible to ski on snow like that, although he managed it okay).

14. Badly drawn up piste maps where either the grade/colour of the piste is wrong (in my opinion) or the layout is wrong.

15. Wasting a day because it's so windy all the lifts have shut.

16. Trying to ski when it's about minus 30 degrees C and there's a 'hurricane' going on and the snow is blowing right in my face like ice daggers and manages to find a way in even though I'm all muffled up.

17. Trying to ski when thick fog suddenly comes down and I can't even see the next pole marker and I'm afraid I'm going to get lost or fall off a precipice.

The crush on the ski bus. Trying to remain upright while wearing ski boots and carrying skis and poles with nothing in reach to grab on to while the driver is hurling the bus round hairpin bends at the same time trying not to invade other peoples personal space or impale them on said ski poles
