How did you get on with those Revel 8's ?
Have a pair of Head Big Easy 94's & am debating whether to 'upgrade' to something like Revel 8's ............although the heads do have a wood core, a decent releasable binding so aren't totally rubbish.

As Chuffy says, the short skiboards ( or whatever you want to call them) make carving and everything else 'easy' compared to 'traditional' length skis. Admittedly they are not going to be as stable at high speed but most likely stable enough for most users. Also, not having to mess with poles makes life loads easier.

Good luck

PS; if anyone wants to take issue with my post, please be gentle as I,m a j2ski forum newbie

They are really fun and are the most exciting skis I've used. Going to sno zone in glasgow tomorrow night to have another blast before I leave on sat for Austria.

You can either cruse down on a more taller stance or really fly on edge, carving down with your hands touching the snow. really easy to ride fake and do 360 spins.

Do the head boards have 8 holes for each binding or 4?

The Heads have 8 holes I,m afraid......come fitted with the tyrolia SP100 retal binding...which are ultra easy & quick to adjust to various boot sizes + no tools needed ( unless you are changing din setting, when you need a flat edge).
Taking them for a warm up at the MK snowdome either Fri or Sat before heading to Italy on the 17th..have got some zardoz notwax to try out...should keep things nice & slippy :D
Do you use release or non-release bindings?

Cool just asking about the binding holes because Revel sware by 4 holes, just curious. But atleast you haven't had any bother with them. A guy from the skiboard forum bought Allz skiboards which are shipped from Latvia (he got them quite fast)and shall be in austria same time as me.

I use release bindings. They are Rossigno Axium 110 bindings on a custom riser plate. Very easy to adjust and came with instructions on different mounting posistions.

Was at the Glasgow snow zone last night and I struggled with them this time. Dont think it was the boards fault as the middle of the run was bare since the snow was pushed over to the side making it like skiing on a carpet but loads of people were skidding out / finding it hard to get an edge. Done a lot of jumps and one thing you have to remember is to really stomp the landings. Only wiped out once  felt really good in the air

I think next year i may get myself a pair of Scott twin tips

Enjoy the trip
