If you go to A&E dont tell them you have been back a couple of days otherwise it will be to the back of the queue!

Any injury longer than three days old it gets knocked back to your gp as no longer classed as an emergency, so a little evasion of truth needed.
Had this happen several years back, step daughter had a spiral fracture of her tibia I think her bindings where incorrect, after a few days tied to the hotel bed and eventually got home four days after injury rang the a+e to say they would not look at her.
Rang the gp and got the usual you can have an appointment in 8 days time so took her down with a cast from toe to hip to her gp walked straight in his door when it was free and asked for a referral. He was going mental at the hospital and his receptionist.
She ended up being admitted for two days!
Hope your knee not serious and really feel for your trip not being as expected.

So sorry to hear about your injury Ian, what a bugger, i think i would have cried. I thought i had busted my Knee in Flaine but thankfully i think i just jarred it a touch. Hope it gets better soon and at least you have all year to get it squared away for next year.

I co-organise a trip for 28 people every year and St Anton comes up with the most suitable chalets but we avoid it for this reason. We have 3 or 4 very nervous skiers and it just wouldn't suit us. S

i think those in your group, the same as the few who came with us, are wrong on this. Whilst I'd think certain runs are beyond timid skiers ability, and some runs would just drive them mad, there are areas you can reach by lift and bus/taxi which are fantastic for the more timid and less experienced. Rendl has some lovely blues, as does Zurs. If only the more timid skiers would actually use their lift pass and see more of the area......

I'll bear that in mind for 2014. Thanks
