I think maybe different health authorities have their own policies on this. A couple of years ago I broke my toe ski-ing on the Thursday, still skied Friday and Saturday (because I didn't know it was broken), came home on Sunday and decided to go to the doctor's on Tuesday (because it had become infected).
But our surgery said that because the problem with my toe had originated with an injury they wouldn't look at it and I had to go to Casualty, where they lanced it, dressed it and gave me antibiotics. Mind you, after that I received the care for my toe in the surgery.

I've always found, when attending Casualty, that it pays to think about what time to go, as sometimes they are pretty quiet (usually about 8 a.m. in our hospital) and other times they are exceptionally busy (like Friday and Saturday nights).

If you go to A&E dont tell them you have been back a couple of days otherwise it will be to the back of the queue!
Would the doc be a quicker option?
Remember to cover off prices and the colour of tony's jacket in your review!
