Change in the weather coming, colder and an area of low pressure bringing snow. Won't be perfect, but it will be much improved.

Crowley,
I was in Lech and returned last Sunday. Good news is you can ski. There are open lifts and something to ski on.
Bad news is conditions are not good at all. No fresh snow, and temperatures are generally too high, allowing snow-making only sometimes.
If this is your one and only ski vacation you might be dissappointed. If it is a start to the season, you will be happy because you got your ski boots on.
Weather seems to be better next week so who knows.

So far seems that resorts have made a great effort made to open runs, lifts are even opening early 08:30 to allow people to enjoy the best of the conditions. Perfect for working on your technique with hard grippy snow first thing and surprisingly decent cover with nothing showing through. Real issue at moment is over-crowing as not enough terrain is open so everyone is flooding to the high resorts and stuck on-piste. If people are heading out make effort to wake up early! Last few mornings I have had 2 hrs putting down turns on corduroy piste and got off before the masses arrived. For most people a few hrs of solid skiing and 4KM vertical is more than enough for a day.

Yup, best skiing is from 9 till 10 and also from 12 till 14 when people are having lunch after that carnage begins. Conditions are ok but extremely crowded.
