If you are coming to Morzine next week, then be prepared for a week of snow, but not much sunshine.....holiday makers this week have been spoilt with warm temperatures and have all probably gone back with a tan, however the slope conditions have been shocking. Next week however, skiers should benefit from fresh powder every day.

You are abolutley right Sharon, I got back from Morzine last nigth after a brilliant long weekend in our apartment, we had the best day in Avoriaz on Sunday, snow was falling and the skiing was fab, if a little crowded in places.

There is a lot more snow coming, all the locals told us mainly Tuesday and Wednesday this week Yippeee

We are back in February and hope for as much snow as possible so Morzine and Les Gets can open fully

Here's hoping. Coming to Les Gets on the 10th Feb and it would be a nightmare with the kids without snow.....

Im coming to les gets on 4th feb and hoping the snow and cold temps still in situ by then - was wondering does the local les gets pass just cover morzine and les gets and in your opinion is it worth upgrading to the full ports du soleil pass and what areas does that cover - also saw Samoens had a reasonable amount of snow and is 10km away is that covered by the PdS pass? and how easy is it to get there even for a days worth of skiing?

Morning! Yep I would defo get the whole portes de soleil pass. Just in case of a lack of snow in Les Gets you can then bus it around to higher areas where there is always more snow such as Avioraz etc. Looked on the Web Cams in LEs Gets this morning and it looks like they had a decent dump on snow. Just waiting to see how many lift get opened today now........

Enjoy Les Gets from the 4th, I Love it and who knows maybe I'll buy you a Beer when we arrive!

French equivalent is "Vin Chaud" - and very nice it is too when done properly... definitely available in Morzine and Les Gets!

The Grand Cry is very good but they also have a nursery slope at Les Gets with one of those conveyor belt type lifts. That is where my two mastered it last year. My lad was 7 last year and daughter just 3 and certainly he managed The Crand Cry, I think ESF even took them there on lessons......
