Sorry Ian, I usually agree with you, but I dont see how you getting food poisoning could be connected to ALL eating establishments in 1 particular country. Having said that, Turkey is somewhere i have chosen not to go to for certain reasons which are my own particular choices too.
Anyway, next holiday Jan 2010. That feels like an eternity....

So we are agreed we don't want to go to Turkey......the only difference is that I speak from experience, I also speak to many people who love the place even close family but I make my decision
