I seem to recall you saying something similar about Austria - one bad experience and the whole place stinks!!!!
Mind you, every time I consider Turkey, my head tells me not to thanks to many experiences like your own from people I know who have been. They speak of pushy to the degree of stalking, physically manhandling people into bars and shops, and an almost unhealthy interest in little blonde girls: my mate has 2 young daughters and the locals would not leave them alone, kept touching them all over, the kids got very upset.
I dont think its for me.
Your absolutely right the two countries you talk about are the only ones I have had bad experiences in, I have never had those experiences in France,Germany,Spain,Italy,Andorra,Scotland,Switzerland,Belgium,Holland,South Africa,Greece would I go back Austria maybe as I met some pleasant people in
Innsbruck where we shared a bottle of Champers with a shop owner whilst watching the 1999 eclipse and Kitzbuhel where we spent a great lunch time being entertained by a restaurant owner, Turkey not while I have breath in my body, why would I return to a place that gave me food poisoning on the first day.
Holidays are about choice and thats mine....... :D
