One of my gloves stuck to the bar on the chair lift in VT it was so cold. Luckily the liftie saw what happened, stopped the lift and pulled the glove off. Bizarre!rossyhead wrote:got stuck on the 4man chair out of 2000 today at minus 16 apparently and that was NOT fun
EDIT:
dont mean actually stuck to the chair just that it stopped!

My daughter got stuck like that once, to the inside of the freezer, when she was only a little girl, trying to get a lolly out of it when she had a wet hand. She had a nasty freeze burn on her hand for days afterwards ... How's your bum? :D :D

Probably at the same time you were having problems with your bottom, my brother got frostbite on the end of his nose!

Personally, anything above the HORRIFIC -38 in Canada 3 years ago.....Don`t know about gloves sticking, but when the chairlift got stuck for 15 minutes was damn near becoming a permanent fixture in Chair 48.....!!!!!Had to skin my frost bitten derriere from the chair and say goodbye to dignity that night when I had cream applied for" buttock cheek!" burns...Oh the shame!!!!Since then I chase warm snow
A bad day on the slopes is better than a good day in the office !

Last year, in Val Thorens, our ski instructor said that the gondola froze at the top, and they couldn't get anyone out. They had to use blowtorches to open the doors

Its looking pretty cold in the 3V where I go tomorrow -17 on Saturday. It normally doesn't bother me but Mr PSC is not good in the extreme cold.

We don't have to go anywhere to experience that range, We can go from -40 to +40. Most winter we see some -35s and most summers a few +38s. They actually closed the schools statewide when it was -40 (windchill was -70). Our summers can be so humid, it's like stepping outside, into a hot wet sponge sometimes.
