Ellistine....

So how was the boot camp?? Sounded like it was cool.
I was gonna go but kept my holidays for a week away in December.

Snow God,I am not one to pray but can make an exception if you keep delivering the goods.

Gar. :)
When in doubt?....Flat out.

Very Good. Very well organised but at the same time very relaxed. The hotel staff couldn't do enough to help. Everything was shut the first day so we did a spot of hiking up the double M but then the next day, and particularly the last day, was perfect.

Never did get to try the boots though. I had brought my own and couldn't bring myself to spend a day in a pair that might not be as comfy. Nobody seemed to mind. They also had a large range of skis although they were mainly Metrons and Nomads.

We're now planning to return to the same hotel in April when they'll be doing another great deal.

Do you know what dates in April it is?

I've emailed them asking for the dates. As soon as I get them I'll let you know. What I do know is - 3 nights half-board, transfer from Geneve, no lift pass this time but only £79.

Dear Mr TheSnowGod Esquire,

As I can not wait for my visit to Val d'Isere on the 15th December, I have booked a weekend down the road at http://www.liftverbund-feldberg.de/aktuell/webcams

Could you possibly arrange a wee sprinkling of your magic powder in southern Germany for the back end of the week?

I'm not going very high, but it's a chance to practice, and I wouldn't say no to another few centimeters on the 50cm they have already.

A hearty thanks in advance of your efforts.

Dear MrTheSnowGod (oh mighty one iam not worthy)

please may i have an application to set up a standing order to take delivery of 20-50cm of frosty flakes to be delivered at regular intervals from now until next april all over the alps

i would prefer a night time delivery between 9pm-6am but if this is not possible just bring it anytime !!

if you could ask Mr F.Big-Cloud to drop off Mr Powder-Day around the middle of Jan on the Stubai Glacier that would be great

Amen :D

Ok Mr S.Marty Pants,

Can't you read, the forecast from the good people at J2SKI very clearly said 1cm snow for Niederau, now how in the name of all the Snow Gods can you guys mix up 1cm with the 20cms we've had already today?

It's not so much the struggle to get the roads clear it's more that I've just finished tuning my skis from the last dump you guys provided and now I'm gonna have to use those skis all over again ... Do you have no sympathy?? If things carry on like this I just don’t know when I’m gonna get a chance to sit by the fire and warm myself with a Large Gluhwien!

Well I suppose I had better go and check that the quality is acceptable …

Yours thirstily,

Jan
