I'm an experienced skier and I'm looking to buy a new ski jacket. Can anyone recommend a particular jacket that has worked well for them. I'm looking to spend @ £200. I've just spent 2 hours online going in circles hence my post here. Your help would be much appreciated. Many thanks

these are mutually incompatible, you can't do those things if it's insulted.

There are far too many to recommend. However, Ellis Brigham have some good deals on North Face stuff, which I can thoroughly recommend.

Moonmadness,
All great ski jackets have common elements but first all respect this rule; form follows function above all! In short style is secondary to true functional aspects of the jacket!
Here is what I look for;
fexibilty (for cross activity, hiking, cycling, canoeing, etc,)
Insulation
layering (winter, summer, fall use)
breathing (side or back zippers for venting)
Quality zippers, sewing, bucklets)
In my opinion the three best are;
Spyder
Karbon
Northface
