I've already done that, and there are a couple who want to go but can't afford it. I'm not going down the road of subbing them as I've been stung like that before.
I think you understand my dilemma! :D
It's the 4th April to the 11th although the coach would leave on the Friday evening (3rd).

Val Cenis, never been there but have been told that it is a very traditional village, good snow record for that time of year and cheaper than most other French resorts.

Why don't you suggest he brings a friend to fill the empty place - and then get the money out of him asap!

that is when i was going to book for mayrhofen, im booking friday so if you are still stuck, let me know, i am not a mad axe crazy woman or crazy like Tony H thinks and i am dead quiet, so you don't have to amuse me and i would prob book into ski school as i am no where near as god as your lot so you can get off on your own way, it is up to you my pm me by Friday but sounds okay to me.
