Anyone selling a good quality double ski bag?

Oh if only it was so easy. Extract from current conversation with Crystal when telling them I was taking more than 1 set of ski equipment in the bag:-

"I am afraid that you will not be able to take these in the one bag. 2 ski carriages will need to be booked as the airline's policy is 1 set or skis and board per ski carriage and they will need to be in separate bags weighing no more than 15kg each".

I have responded by asking if the bag weighs no more than 15kg, what does it matter what is in it?

I'm a bit miffed with them though, I take 3 ski hols a year with Crystal, so I see this as opportunist profiteering. Added to this, Crystal now only have a premium rate number to get into contact with them, even if you are just booking. This says to me that they don't care about customer service and are more interested in using customers as cash cows.

This grab of a few extra quid by them could end up costing them more than £4k per year as I won't be using them again unless I get a favorable response to my questions.

If your bag weighs less than 15kg then you don't need to tell crystal you are carrying 2 sets of skis as they clearly state the bag limit is 15kg.

However. Their policy clearly states ONE set of skis per bag, so if you DO get caught out somehow then expect to pay an extra £35 for he sec set as you're flouting their rules. Yes it stinks of profiteering, but is be going on the 2 sets in 1 bag and not letting on personally, as all they do is weigh them at check in mate.

I've never had anyone ask to look in my ski bag at check in, so as far as I'm concerned, as long as the ski bag weighs no more than 15kg where is the issue? Of course I wouldn't be advertising the fact that I'm planning on doing them out of £35 :)

I suggest buying ski tubes instead. There are lots of high quality but reasonably priced ski tubes out there. I usually buy from waterskiersworld (http://www.waterskiersworld.com/category-list/toweables/tubes.html) You may want to check it out.

I have always put 2 sets of skis in my double ski bag when travelling with crystal both sets weigh less than 15kg and never had a problem, 1st time this year i booked with Inghams and did not book skis on, tried to book them on later but ski carriage was full, heard about luggage mule so tried them I got my skis collected in double ski bag (you can take up to 2oKg)from my house straight to hotel and delivered back to my house from luggage mule £89.99, i put my fleeces, thermals etc in bag. would recommend them.

Let me get this straight: you paid £90 to get your skis delivered to resort?

yes £90 was to austria, france is only £80 i think they were picked up at my house on monday arrived in hotel thursday and picked up from hotel on monday after i left and back home by thursday and you can track every move of skis, saved so much hassle with skis will use again for sure.

You see that as good value if I'm reading this right?
