Anyone else remember the fad for wearing pop socks for skiing?
Supposed to improve contact and feel because they are so thin.
I did try it but just got cold feet!

Have you thought about getting some new socks the same as the ones you like so much?

2 pairs of ski socks last me all week. They only smell if the sweat gets stale....then who is going to smell them on the slopes/lifts? Then after skiing I usually have so many aches & pains that smell is the least of my worries!

As any military or ex-military man would tell you, it's not the smell, but the increase in likelihood of blisters if you don't change your socks. Sweat creates salt, salt crystallises when dried, salt crystals create friction, friction creates blisters and....ouch!
That will be £19 and 17 shillings for the lesson!

Slightly off topic, buy I can't believe that those that yomp across the desert for a month take 28 pairs if socks? I imagine blisters are mire caused by poorly fitting boots. Not tiny salt crystals. Don't they melt again once your feet start to sweat again?
Just a thought, not an argumentative point :)
