Ski Storage racks

I want to buy a ski storage rack, preferably lockable. Any suggestions?

I have a a ski rack in my garage which I built my self out of an old pallet holds about six sets of skis plus poles 8)

But is it for sale Wickers?

Do you mean for car roof racks? Most people don't need locks on their ski racks at home. Skis aren't like shotguns. You don't need the ski officer from the police station to come by, and check the safety of your ski storage rack at home, and to make sure you are keeping your fluorinated wax in a separate lockable cabinet :lol:

If you do mean top of the car, consider this. Skis on roof racks are ok for a mile or two, if you live close to where you ski, but subjecting your skis and bindings to all the @#$% that gets thrown up on the motorways in winter is not a good idea. If skis have to go on the roof it should be in a top box, or at least a bag.

I agree with Trencher I have a top box now, but years ago I used to have magnectic ski holders on the roof of the car but always used ski bags, but I was surprised and still am the amount of people with their skis on the roof unprotected from the elements. 8)

I have noticed a lot of people travelling with skis in roof racks open to the elements and often thought that cant be a good idea.

Thanks guys, all very useful but what I want is a rack to leave in a rented chalet and bar use a simple bracket and a stout length of chain and a padlock, I had hoped for something a little more asthetic.
