I'll have one of those Brucie. Too trendy for Mac though.
LOTA - I was always told ski trousers should be called Salopettes - ones with braces are called Bib Pants. Are you telling me my friend was wrong all along?

In French, Salopettes are 'Bib pants', overalls, dungarees. It comes from the word 'dirty / filthy'. Hence the modern usage of 'salope' for a lady of easy virtue.
Popped back out from under that rock again for a poke?
You actually have no idea at all do you, David?
Whilst I rarely reply directly to your posts, Anthony, on this occasion, nope, I have no idea.
.......which is what I have been saying. Everyone is different, but I think if you did a vote/poll and asked people when they bought ski clothing whether the fact is was fashionable/they were concerned about how it would look on them, I think you might actually find thats its quite a serious consideration for the majority.
Add into that the fact that not everyone who has smart/fashionable/trendy ski clothing is a numpty/beginner/Russian and might actually also value their time on the slopes as much as you clearly do (assuming you haven't stopped and got your easel out).
Now, finally we have got that sorted out.
I have some ski poles a couple of years old, Armada ones. I keep losing the basket from one pole as the way they clip in to place on the one pole means they arent secure. Should I keep skiing on the poles without a basket as I had to this past 2 weeks, or take the plunge and buy some new poles?
I spent 5EU on a new basket in Solden in March, and within the hour it had dropped off again!!

Interesting concept ~ "Trends, Trendy" Subjects that have never interested me, nor many of my serious skier friends. I am a skier, not a fashionista. By the time these people have finished admiring each other, I have already completed four or more runs.
