Keeping the Forum Friendly

I hope not!!! Everyone is a bit quiet on here recently though [Tony_H can usually find something to say to keep us ticking over though :lol:], so maybe thats why we havent heard anything!

I was looking around trip advisor the other day and came across Niederau. Most people gave good reports on their trip and good advice on their hotels. There were several people who instead of giving reviews used it as a chat forum and basically laid into individual people. They were even going on about how their kids beat each other in ski races, how if they liked certain hotels their houses must be like pigsty's.
It was unbelievable how nasty it got, I would hate to have been on holiday with that lot. At least we are never like that on this forum.

I know which one you mean Rose! It got a bit personal on there didnt it, it was basically a slanging match!! Ive never seen anything like that on here!!

:twisted: At least in Mayrhofen people dont go onto Trip Advisor and slag each other off about whos stuck up little brat won the under 6's race.....

I have been a member on here for a couple of years and tend to only log on a few months before a planned trip so would not class myself as a regular. I have found all of the advise priceless and think its a great place. Every persons input is valuable as I think that you can take everyones advise and then adapt it to yourself. Personnally if I am interested in the subject I read the beginners and experts comments as they all add up to the bigger picture.

Its a shame if people are scared to post as they think their opinion is not valid as they are not as experienced as another member. I say whoever you are, if you have an opinion, post it as then the reader can decide what advice they take and as long as your not advising people to head into the mountain in just there pants, then there is no harm.....

In brief if you didnt read all my rambling above... Dont be put off posting because your not as experienced.... everyones comments are valuable.
