Courmayeur

VB was in great shape this morning. We were on it a little later than I would of hoped and sun had done some damage to snow (most of skiing is essentially south facing). Not too bad but some of team would definitely of felt more comfortable had we been an hr earlier. Ski down to town is in great condition so the full 2800m of vertical to be had.

For those currently in Courmayeur all the North facing slopes off Helbronner were looking spectacular. ,teams were putting in some great lines. Definitely worth a look at over weekend.

3 days to go can't wait to get out there cheers Ranchero got my pennies saved to pay for and complete VB challenge :-)

Ranchero and all others, thanks for all the responses. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Courmayeur, though most of the heavy snows had shut down. We did get one powder day and got off piste. Couldn't find a guide for any adventures as they were all booked up due to the holiday week, but we did make it over to Thuile unfortunately the weather and light were bad that day. We did have fun at the Roxie. Many fine restaurants kept us busy! Will come back for another shot at the Toula decent and hopefully VB. And a shout out to the folks at Caffe Della Posta for pouring heavy on the Barbaresco and Amarone.
