Wondering if anyone has any recommendations of a good beginner resort in Italy?
The member of our group isn't really a beginner as such, just extremely cautious, we recently came back from Schladming in Austria which had quite a few easy runs which all involved accessing harder pistes to get back to the bottom.
This involved a lot of dummy spitting, so looking to find a resort with blues which either go all the way to the bottom of the lifts
or
somewhere it is possible to catch the lifts back to the bottom, neither of which seemed to be a common option in Austria.

Bardonecchia.

Mainly blue runs ski to Door at the Campo Smith Hotel and Cipos Bar.

No real greans but 80% tree lined gentle blue runs. No crossing of blacks and most reds can be avoided.

Another vote for Bardonecchia. I went there after 4 hours instruction on a dry ski slope. I had an excellent time. Lots of long gentle slopes.

Canazei in Val di Fassa, Dolomites, Italy. skied lots in this area and quite liked Canazei as being nice area with mix and you can ski in the bowl happily all day and practice. the area is so vast that as you improve you can move around.
