If I am not diverted to Italy.

There are some benefits in being diverted to Italy, like good snow and extensive skiing and think about the food
Ian, don't tar all of Austria with the Niederau brush

Friend of mine went down the Niederau speed gun at 114 kph, two days ago. Obviously, he was snowploughing.....
Looking forward to meeting up with more international skiers there over the next couple of weeks. They will be spending some time training for the Hahnemkahn in this beginners resort.
Met some of the Austrian team last year ~ very friendly lot. Didn't seem to display too many beginner's traits though.....

Hi There
I've just booked to go to Niederau for the first time. We're intermediate boarders and hoping for good conditions. Any tips for good bars or the best pistes? Any flat spots to avoid??
Cheers
John

The main run off the mountain has a HUGE flat spot near the bottom. Its fine for fast skiers, but many skiers don't make it without poleing so I would imagine you boarders will get very pissed off with it.
You are aware there is only about 3 miles of piste, aren't you?

I've just returned from a great holiday in Niederau. Tony still seems to have a big chip on his shoulder regarding N as there is nearer 25 miles of piste if you include Oberau (included in the lift pass and a few minutes away on the free ski bus).

This is all about a balanced view of "N" Tony_H has skied there and has every right to voice his opinion, also I have not skied there and Nor would I, Too many brits and not enough skiing.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but talking crap (3 miles of piste) is not helpful. The poster above is rightly looking forward to his hol and Tony's efforts to put him off are IMHO bad form.

You make a good point Pete.
There must be something great about Niederau as so many people seem to love it and return there too.
