Again the media have been a total disgrace scare mongering the fear factor of swine flu, I have a good mind to boycott the newspapers
I forgot I already did that afew years ago

It is all about cost my point is they would rather not give you tamiflu until you have contracted it hence you go to work and spread it around contaminate a few more people hence Tony_H's son, I'm gonna give it to my direct family a few French and Italian girls  where if they had used their noodle they could have nipped it in the bud by putting me on a course straight away, the doctors will blame the government but it all comes down to they don't really care who gets its.....
If this country had done what China are doing in the first place then we wouldn't all be so paranoid about getting it and it probably wouldn't have spread like wild-fire. They were merrily letting people into the country, from Mexico and no-one seemed to care.
I must be on it already then
I think there is a genuine concern in Asia that if swine flu and avian flu get to mixing in the same host the end result could be even scarier :(
Not going to suggest the obvious name for that varient.

The doctor did ring that evening and gave me a cock and bull story about they cannot do anything until I have the symptoms, I am not quite sure what my line of complaint will be but rest assured there will be one.
If you are walking in to the doctors with the story you have been in contact with the flu then you are definitely being sucked in by the media hype

Oooh Wickers - pig flu  Still, you don't know if it is definitely pig flu or summat else.I'm not certain from what I have read, that Tamiflu is of any use as a preventative, and does any more than knock 1 day off the duration. You'll still be shivery and snotty AFAIK, and joy of joys...I saw some Dr on telly talking about the side effects of Tamiflu, most notable and quite common is the effect on the um...bowel   Still want it?
Stick to the vino tinto if it works ) Get well soon :D

You can only take sensible precautions and if you get it, you get it. But the biggest problem is people who think they have it will just not isolate themselves for a few days. They go into surgery,s, chemists and shops. If only they would stay away for a few days it would not spread so much. In my line of work its important we keep going as we supply so many other essential services. In China they are probably going a bit overboard, but they had to really as they got slated for the way they dealt with Bird flu, they are having to be more cautious. Tamiflu will only help you if you actually have symptoms. At the moment any one person in this country is allowed ONE course of tamiflu, no more so you need to use your ONE course wisely. Hope your Son is okay Tony.

Host ?? You mean us ??
I'm not volunteering to play host to any sort of animal flu - avian, swine or anything else.
