Further East (Bavarian Forest): we have had a cool autumn and overnight temperatures have been below freezing a lot of nights recently so snow has a better chance of settling when it comes. We are not high altitude but things are looking good for a November-April season as most winters.

The UK Met Office predicts slightly above normal temperatures in much of Europe, with the exception of some eastern parts of Europe where the odds are evenly balanced. Precipitation is also evenly balanced.
In general though it will be a lot less mild than the winter of 2006/2007 - which is a relief!!!!

Hmmm lets face it they predicted a hot dry summer this summmer.... obviously it was so dry my home town was 6foot under water and I had to swim to work so Lets not get a hopes up. WE ALL KNOW SNOW WILL COME... its just a matter of how long it takes to get there! BUS's dont see one for hours and then they all come at once!

The metoffice need a little something called "faith", now i'm not religious but lets all pray to the snow gods that there will be 6 foot of white fluffy stuff a week for the whole season.

as I recall earlier this year we were all doing snow dances - as well as praying to the snow gods
