Great skiing the other side of the Mont Blanc tunnel too if you get bored with the 4 different ski areas around Chamonix!

My first season was exactly 100 days, and I never missed a day, 8 hrs a day, 800 hours.

Minus 4 hours, 2 hrs for 2 funerals a week apart, and errm 2 hrs the morning after Fasching night, it was 10.00am before I could pronounce my own name......

I have to admit I am a fair weather skier .... I will do the season and I don't mind bad light too much but I am staying in when it's snowing!

I going to try and get out whatever the weather. I think it's important to be ok in all conditions. Might as well practice a little bit in case i get caught in a storm when i'm skiing.

I've just bought some great value oakley goggles so i can zoom through blizzards (thank you ebay)
I've decided that unless something is a bargain, i won't be buying it. I did buy some Dalbello Il Moro boots, brand new for €80 at the weekend, so i'm doing pretty well so far.

The Grand Montets area is the best in the Chamonix valley in my opinion! Worth the trip up the valley from Cham. everytime.

When you have a whole season to play with, the poor condition days are best used for practicing low speed drills, and staying on groomers that you know well. More injuries seem to happen in poor light than at any other time. It's not worth injuring yourself, and wasting the rest of your time there. Good powder and trees would be the exceptions.
because I'm so inclined .....

There are always good ski things to do in bad weather. As Trencher say, some drills. I bore my friends to death, because I take a bit of time just about every day to do some routines, or experiment.

In poor light, ski right beside the tree line, to get maximum reflected light. I real bad weather, stay safe, stay on manageable slopes, T bars, with people.

The main thing is thinking about what you are doing, what you are trying to achieve, and how you are going to improve.
