Thats a great result! Kellerwirt is a good choice, Hnas Keller is one of nature's gentlemen! Well done.

Hi - we stay at the Kellerwirt in Oberau...couldn't recommend it more highly. I was there in Jan for skiing and we stayed as a family in early October, which was simply beautiful. We like it so much we got married there 4 years ago :-) If you'd like a chat on the phone about the place (rather than wearing fingers out) drop me a line. David

The holiday is booked!!! Am really looking forward to it, got a free lift pass too as I have prebooked.
Sad to have had no skiing this season, why does it seem to be mentioned everywhere and everyone's going when you really want to?
Will enjoy this forum until then, thanks for the advice all. S.x

Nearly time to pay the holiday balance.
To say I am excited is an understatement!!
This time last year Hubby was post op and all there was to look forward to was Christmas with less money in the bank.
Now the hot weather has gone for good I can focus on our holiday, I now realise that after 5 hols on the trot and a miss last season, I can't live without my ski holiday. My skiing is pretty poor, but I adore the week at my own pace. I shall be checking snow reports and this site frequently until 23rd December.

Just one question, lift passes are booked, but what is the best and cheapest way to book ski hire over Xmas in Oberau.

I would recommend Stephan Margreiter in Oberau. We were instructors at the same time. The cheapest way would be to click on the advert at the left side of the page that you are on ~ Skiset. The prices for 6 days are 48 Euro and 86 Euro for Economy and Discovery. Don't forget to unclick the boot box, if you just want ski price only.

Waiting is nearly over s-a-h !!
I know what it is like when you have to miss the fix due to force majeur(how do you spell that?).
Was really worried this summer that I would have a ski free season, but luckily am now going.
Have a look at the links to ski set on here (left, Save on Ski Hire) to start to compare prices. Do check which shop(s) are closest to your accomodation, nothing worse than saving £10 and walking a mile!
If you are with a tour operator - check what they are quoting, and what shop/quality of skis are on offer.
Then work out what works best for you.
Someone will be along on here with personal knowledge of shops in Oberau soon I'm sure.
