scott poles have done me fine and the straps and grip are excellent, i think i only paid £30 :lol:
I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids!

Another vote for mid range Scott Poles, owned several pairs and they last for ages and seem quite tough.

Currently using Black Diamond Traverse Poles and they seem pretty good too :D

I think I have mentioned it before on the forum, I use a set of carbon Head poles had them since 1995, I think I have got my monies worth out of them but then again I don't do the adventurous stuff that perhaps Pablo might do 8)

The only time I ever broke stick was in Pablo-land. Usual Escobar conditions, frozen piste, anything in your way, like a ball of snow, was rock solid. Managed to hit a lump with the tips, and automatically whanged the stick into, or to be more truthful, towards the permafrost. Next but one turn, nearly went A over T, cos the stick was 6 inches shorter.

Ian, I believe I am talking self-preservation, and trying to stay alongside my (then) 15 year old no 2 son. :twisted:

Scott too. I like the the strap and hand grip, seemed best for the price.
