OK - I thought Big White to Silver Star was a bit longer than that. I'm a slow driver.

P.S. If you do make it to Fernie and find yourself in town, drop by the 'Curry Bowl' on the crowsnest highway. Very near the Park Place Lodge hotel on the oposite side of h'way. Great asian food and a warm welcoming atmosphere.

900kms further south to Ezmay, live I in Melbourne. I have only 2 weeks of skiing experience over 2 years.
I am a late comer to this adrenaline rush of a sport. I have stared at this site and the web cam daily updates.
I want to advance to upper intermediate skill levels and have been looking at Big White and Silver Star as an option
to help me achieve this. So, which has the better ski schools?
I was looking at going this year/last month, but now it will have to be next year. Any advice? Anyone? :(
Let it snow.

Hi, I have experience of neither. They are likely to be very similar since they are owned by the same company. (an Aussie I think)

Thanks for the heads up re the area. An Aussie runs the resorts?
Wonder if they will look after fellow compatriots.
Let it snow.

Both are pretty good. Not had direct experience with the Silver Star one but the Big White top instructors got me my Level 1 and 2 so im happy!

Might see me working there next year ;)
