And Taos is no longer ski only. They bowed down the the mighty snowboard last season (or at least to the money that comes with the mighty snowboard).

AJ,

My problem. I assumed Dave was "the famous DaveMac"!

Haaaaa Dave,,well he really is the silent man who makes all this run! This site is getting more and more "popular" due to his great work! Notice how spam free it is! Notice how "clean" it is!
I was tired of constantly telling persons to stop being vulgar, loud, etc,,,on another site! He makes the difference!
We should all have a Dave day where we sent emails to his bosses or to people who monitor internet sites!

Dave, I have not forgotten that plane ride! Just keep abreast to the RJ Bombardier new plane. Project is on go! Soon they will be flying promos!

Dave also knows that he has a special place in America for him!
Anytime!

For those who don't use other ski/board forums, this is pretty unique.
Thanks Dave.

Thanks for the thoughts... and feel free to e-mail my boss; although my wife may wonder why all these strange (very strange) men start e-mailing her...

...currently building Robo-Dave to run the site, so I can go skiing instead of just reading about it!

I'll start a thread about merchandise shortly.

Dave,
Does that mean you are "open" in getting "merchandise for your great work on this site!

In North America there is some "traditions" in regards to skiing.
Every ski center has a cloth (sew in) patch which you can buy! Some people collect stamps or coins,,,well the fanatic skier collects ski patches.

Also there are some skiers who also collect ski pins. These are metal pins , very much like the Olympic country pins. What you must never but never do is have a chest full of such pins on ski jacket. Worst is to have 20-30 pins on ski hat!

What is cool is one pin from most exotic place such as Chile or New Zealand or the summum of all pins is that small level 4 ski instructor pin which took you 4 years to get! If ever you want a great "entry level" reason to have men/women "approach" you at the bar, wear such exotic pin, just one! Like honey for bees!

Those patches , what do you do with them? Well I have a complete wall in my tune up shop! Each provides memories of great ski days! I have lost some many skis, due to skiers having same ski bag as me and so they take my bag at the airport, that now all my travel ski bags have "unique ski patches" from ski resorts no one knows about! Never lost a ski bag since I posted those patches!

That's really interesting. We all go out of our way to collect passport stamps so I'm really not surprised that is such a money spinner for resorts over there..although, to my knowledge, it is totally unheard of in Europe - we just laminate our piste maps, lol.
