I'm teetotal except on social occasions, however I do recommend Kwak and Chimay which I had the pleasure of sampling in France.

 ...might have known this would be the most popular topic of the day...
Anyway, if you want beer after ski then the only place to ski must surely be Belgium. End of. Hoegarden Wit Beer unbeatable to quench the thirst, Chimays, Leffe Brun and Blond for social drinking and a Rochefort (11%) to turn out the lights.
Forget St. Anton - when do we ski Belgium?

OK, the real authority is here, I can't believe no one has mentioned "Budweiser". If there is one thing us Americans know it's great beer.
Just kidding. I, on behalf of all enlightened, American beer drinkers, apologize for the crap that is "Budweiser" and so many other pathetic American beers.
However, in the last 5-10 years we have come around and enjoy very fine beers. My personal favorite at the moment is Widmer Brothers Hefeweizen also my Brother just turned me on to "Mirror Pond - Pale Ale". "Dicks Danger Ale" is also very good and brewed just down the street from me.

If there is no skiing in Heaven, I am staying here....

Brad is right, American beer is no longer a joke or gnat's pee as us brits would say. There was no CAMRA in the US, but all of a sudden there are micro brews (small breweries) and imports. What would excite the the crew here at j2ski is the micro breweries are very diverse. So you might find a hoppy ESB and belgium blonde from the same small batch brewery.
Many of the small breweries are attached to restaurants. You can watch the brewers working on thier vats (through a glass wall) as you eat your lunch.
Years ago I was in a liqour store checkout line. Two guys in front of me were upset because the keg of Miller Light they had ordered for a party had not been delivered. "People are counting on us for the beer. This is so embaressing" one of the guys said. I had to interject, "I'd be embaressed to if I were trying to buy a keg of Bud Light"
So anyway, at the moment my fav beers are
1
A New York Brew
2
from who hnows where )
3
Summit is a St Paul brewery, reasonable beer at a good price.

BAWAHAHAHHA I'm so glad someone had posted about American piss water! Although in my home town in Cleveland we have a great Mirco-brew Great Lakes Brewing Co. It actually turns out some good suds. American beer has preservatives and is served in a can, mostly. It's just not good and the alcohol content is something to laugh at. Most Americans don't know what good beer is. I however do.
Oh good god I forgot about Gosser, and Edleweiss (but didn't have these after skiing) You guys are makin' me thirsty for a beer!
