Music posts are always good, I love. Heh.. that's it.

I'm more into metal music and especially melodic death metal. Everything from Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom and Amon Amarth goes. When it comes to skiing, I prefer classical and tenors cush as Boccelli, Pavarotti, Domingo, those "mainstream guys". For afterski I prefer Billy Joel, Don McLean and country.

Oh, just forgot power metal. It's great!

I've created a similar thread, but then Jan mentioned this one and I think there's lots of good info in here so it's well worth a bump.

freezywater wrote:I have many a tune on the generic mp3 player (don't want to show any favourtism towards one or the other :!: )) and far too many to mention here, suffice to say that I only ever seem to play the tunes on the lifts or in the bus on the way there, once on the piste I don't think anything can beat the sound of freshly tuned skis (thanks Pavel) cutting into freshly groomed piste. Heaven :!: :!:

Don't use the Ipod on the slopes, too dangerous, need all the remaining faculties to survive. But ski to stuff in my head.

Easy Cruising ~
Blood Red Roses and Woodstock, Mathews Southern Comfort, Second Spring album
Fire and Rain, James Taylor
Hotel California, Eagles

Easy, easy cruising ~
Coro del Nabucco, German words, Verdi
Teach Your Children Well, CSN&Y
Kufsteiner Lied, c/w Yodel chorus. (This does lead to odd looks from co-skiers)
Strawberry Fields Forever, Beatles

Quick piste turns ~
American Pie

Off Piste ~
All You Need is Snow, Beatles
California Dreamin, Jose Feliciano
