Arinsal is small. Great for the total beginner but anyone with any decent experience would ski it out in a day.
Also the gondola is a pain.

Crystal do that too for Soldeu (and the other Andorran resorts). I paid for a 'learn to ski package' which included lessons, lift pass and equipment even though I only wanted a lift pass and didn't need equipment. The package was only £20 more than the full area pass, so I had a weeks worth of lessons for £20! :D

I suggested Arinsal because he is a beginner albeit 2nd year coming up. I would go to Soldeu if I was doing Andorra definitely, but the lift pass price is v expensive and I don't think the guy would see much of whats available, so maybe Arinsal would be the better option at his stage?
Or maybe Andorra might not be the best option at all????

Its alot harder than picking a summer holiday init

Cheap skiing, decent apres ski and a mountain accessible by all? Look no further than Soll (Austria) or Soldeu (Andorra).
