Allow me to confirm. For an old bloke, Dave is a tidy and fast skier. I could not keep up with him. Mind you, thats because he took off before shouting "race you to the bottom" meaing I was 5 seconds behind before I even realised....

Jan on the other hand is SERIOUSLY fast, not surprising when you consider his pedigree really.

You may be right with the first part Tony, that's not for me to say.

But as for the second part, I thought it was just a friendly run down. :-) I would never challenge anybody, it's not nice. Well, except for my ski buddy Mel perhaps....

And all cemented with a beer at the bottom.

But you have a great attribute, in that you commit to the run, you are not afraid to face the challenge.

Jan is a fast skier. And it's not just that. I mentioned this to Jan the next day, I will ski fast choosing my lines and terrain. Jan skis without regard to terrain, demanding fast muscle response and great leg strength. Yes, he is very fast.

Morning folks...

New to the site and just finding my feet. Thought I'd say hello on a Niederau page as we're off to the Wildschonau on 24th Jan. This is our fourth time there and we've had tremendous times. We like it that much we got married at the Antonius Kappele in Oberau two years ago. I've skied all over, but we keep coming back for the hospitality and ambience at the Kellerwirt in Oberau.

It's not the largest area you'll find but there's plenty for everyone and if we want a blast we head off to Kirchberg/Kitz for the day - it's only half an hour. Can't wait for the 24th as we missed a season last year with the birth of our baby daughter.

It;s been interesting reading the various comments on here.

Cheers,
David

No sweat about goggles caron, don't think Margreiters (Skiset) have them, but Blachfelders and Thalers do. And I'm sure Jan might have a spare pair.

It certainly looks as though you will need them

Oh, I nearly forgot. I was just propositioned in the Bichlwirt, by a twenty something girl from Munich, would I like to go with her to the Cave Bar? Very nice looking lady.

It's certainly the best offer I've had today.

Sadly, I declined. It's the age problem, you see. I'm just not prepared to compromise my principles. Too old is too old.

And twenty something is too old.
