Could anyone advise whether it's worth hiring a car to get to Whistler from Vancouver? there are three of us and feel that we probabaly won't use it in the resort and we are there for 11 days, so fairly expensive rental

There are regular bus services from the Airport to Whistler. We took the bus on the return trip. However, on arrival, on the way there, I had time to kill, and asked at the info desk. The consequence was that I hired a driver and lux SUV, for slightly more than the bus fare would have cost for four of us.

Yeah definately worth looking into the the Taxi situation as the bus is expensive and a little slow
