Hi, Maybe you've decided by now....but I would def do the limo option. Did the bus with 4 of us, as above the cost for a hired car with driver is comparable but quicker and easier. Esp as we stood around at V airport while the bus company rustled up another vehicle for an overbooked service. After a long flight? NO way!

We have been to Whistler for the past ten years - with and without children. We live in the UK and the last thing we feel like doing after the flight is driving up to Whistler. Hiring a car sounds like a good idea but it is no fun when there is a heavy snow storm. We hired a car on an April trip before but found we were paying for a car and not using it and we will still not forget the parking charges after a 14 night stay. We have booked with a company in the past called whistlerairporttransfers.com and they also do discounted lift passes. Avis in Whistler also do special airport one way drop offs but we had to book directly with the local Avis agency and it was quite expensive.

If you have a condo with free parking then it probably would be useful hiring a car. Especially if there are more than two of you. It will come in useful when you want to go to the supermarket to stock up on beers (Squamish or Pemberton). Depending on conditions and what type of car/SUV you hire, you could also take a day off and drive through Pemberton towards Lillooet or back into the city for the day. there are a few interesting little stops along the sea to sky highway.
