We've had a few incidents like that reported over the years, and they very often don't end well. I'd guess you're not in a hurry to repeat that one?

Yeah, mate my missus said you were crap and smelt bad.

But can she have her girly white glasses and gloves back?
Ski navigation

Not used it myself (always looked a bit expensive) but a bit of googling turns up a fair number of unhappy customers; also some discussion on snowheads.

Also - Dragon's Den Investors got burned.

The Garmin Foretrex 401 looks like a promising alternative.
Ski Beat in Plan Peisey (Les Arcs)

Anybody stayed with Ski Beat, and used their childcare? How did you get on?

Also, how quickly can you access Arc 2000 from there?

Have read good reports elsewhere but any other first-hand experience would be of interest.

TIA..

Yes - part of the attraction of the mountains is crisp, clean air... :D
Aussois

Just a couple of Blacks on the Aussois Piste Map but the run marked "balmes" looks like it'd be fun - and should give access to a big freeride area in that valley.

Anyone been there?

Map of French Ski Resorts - select Aussois from the drop-down and zoom at will... 8)

It's not far from the Italian border, across the mountains from Bardonechia and Sauze.

Not skiied there myself but the ski areas in the Vanoise national parc are supposed to be very picturesque.

Doesn't look like the j2ski snow report is current, but there's over 50cm in the Aussois Snow Forecast for the next week. Unless something bizarre happens to the weather, you'll be right for February or March.
