Hi there
We stayed in Landhaus Roscher in March which is one of the Inghams snowhouses. It was about a 10 min walk to the Ahorn cable car and about 5 min to the Penken gondola. The accomodation was basic but clean and the people who ran it were lovely. I would definately book a snowhouse again. :D |
Thanks for that. If you don't mind me asking, what sort of money did you pay? :D

Does anyone use a sport camera that attaches to your helmet/goggles? Sort of thinking of getting one for our next holiday :D

You need to have more lessons. Hubby and I learnt to ski in 2006, we will be going back to Niederau for the 4th time in Jan '09 and have lessons booked again. You will find that there's loads of stuff you've forgotten about and bad habits will creep in. Plus, you get to know the resort really well with an instructor and gain confidence from them and others in your class. :D

Stayed in Landhaus Roscher, a Mayrhofen snowhome in March and it was absolutely fine. Clean, basic breakfast, quiet location but only 5-10 min walk from the gondolas. Coup & More on the main street was a very good meal but the absolute best was the Hotel Krammerwirt - THE best steak we've ever had not to mention the starter of deep-fried Cammerbert with cranberry cream - yum! Excellent service too. You'll not be stuck for nice eating places in Mayrhofen :D

Haven't tried skiing on the horse yet! Not much snow where I live :-) but keeping me very busy, yes :D

None for me I reckon - just bought a horse a few weeks ago

We stayed in Landhaus Roscher in March 08, breakfast only. Booked through Inghams but couldn't get any direct flights from Belfast. So, counting flights & accommodation for Bristol, ski hire and lift pass, it came to around £960 for the two of us. Mayrhofen is good - it was very busy when we were there but it was the week before Easter and there was a ski challenge comp on. Plenty of places to eat/drink and loads of piste to choose from - you can get away from the crowds. It snowed almost every day as well. Tony H on here is quite knowlegable on Mayrhofen - he gave me loads of useful info when we were going. :D
