From Haute Nendaz the quickest way is chair to Tortin and then up the Tortin bubble where you emerge at Lac des Vaux and are in the Verbier domain proper.
Going back you have to ski either Tortin or Col de Gentianes which are both itineries where you have to be a confident off piste skier. Alternatively there is a bubble (Tortin) or cable car (col des g). |
It's over an hour from Sion to Verbier and involves two changes by public transport. Whilst you can get from Sion to Nendaz more quickly, it's no help if your chalet is in Verbier as you can't carry all you kit on the chairlift!

Here's the latest from the SCGB.....
The Ski Club apologises for taking down the open chat forum without notice, and we do recognise that we could have done this in a better, more user-friendly way. Also, we clearly had not realised how much Ski Club members appreciated having an open forum, as against a members only forum. Because of the strong response from members, we are reconsidering that decision and expect to come back with positive news within a week. |
Another refugee, but I'm somewhat disppointed that there's nothing which seems as active as the SCGB forum was. I've just noticed that i'm the only person online here and that there are only 61 members!
