ski boot foam replacement liner

Depending on the age of the boot, you might get lucky and find some liners at a dealers. If the boot shell is in great condition, perhaps a Zipfit liner could be adapted? A pricey solution mind. Is it really worth it though, as shell plastic degrades and gets brittle with age?
How many weeks use have these boots seen?
It's not a big feature of the places I go to ski. Occasionally there is a jazz band playing in one of the restaurants, but only on special occasions. The snowpark has the usual big speakers and rap playing though it's easy to avoid the noise.
Generally I like to listen to the mountains :D
do late starters ever catch up?

I see that you have a clear advantage overy your GF. You will be learning the latest techniques to use on the latest equipment. Times have changed and her skills are now outdated. You will be more comfortable on new style skis. She has a lifetime of bad skiing habits to unlearn. You will be able to do more on the new style skis, and use them properly.

Get in there :D

Anyone kow of any specialist in Herts Noth London Area?

I guess it all depends on how much you want your boots sorted. The 3 I would recommend are:

http://www.lockwoodsoutdoor.co.uk/

http://www.foot-works.fr/

Of course, it would be amazing to have a trained and skilled bootfiter or Pedorthist on your local High Street, but there are really not that many. Plenty of "expert" ski bootfitters about though, as it seems to be a "buzz word" currently ) Hmmm

I'm sure you are correct. So here's my notification.....

Dear First Choice, B.A, charter and no-frills airlines,
Head Monster's with Railflex2 (mine) 7kg...without the bag. Then there's my Stockli Stormriders to pack as well. Good job I'm not travelling with First Choice though eh
I got them from a North Face UK shop. Just looked at the label and it says... M....hmmmm useful

Mine are unlined, no insulation, simple nylon inner. NF do an insulated version which is on their website along with the size chart.

My spring ski trousers have an inseam of 29.5" . They are North Face Varius Guide Pants.
Just as well they fit me just so, they would be really hard to turn up with full length side zips!

However, this time I have got a brand new double padded ski bag, as the Mrs now has her own skis, and I am flying tomorrow from Gatwick with Thomas Cook with both sets in the bag. I have not prepaid for ski carriage, as if they ask for a fee, I can pay it at the airport.

Is that this Thomas Cook?

Thomas Cook Airlines can accept most types of sports equipment, although items will travel on a space and weight permitting basis only. You may have to pay a charge for some items, and you should also check that your Insurance covers your equipment.

Thomas Cook Airlines will also accept skis, boots and ski poles for carriage, although items will travel on a space and weight permitting basis only. These items do not form part of your normal baggage allowance.

You can pay for your Ski Carriage at the airport when you check in, the cost is around £15-£20. This can no longer be pre booked with the airline direct.

For more information, please visit their website Thomas Cook Airlines. For other airlines, please contact them direct.

Good Luck at check in, let us all know how you get on this time.

BTW The reason I feel folks generally don't want to be parted from their boots is because they cost a lot and take ages to get a good fit. This blog written by a SkiClub Rep last year gives a good example, with the entry "Delta Ate My Ski Boots"
