Maybe try a different brand of helmet? Most recreational helmets have removable ear pads, fitting fine tuning and adjustable vents, so overheating and hearing issues should be easily remedied.

I have around 80 weeks of skiing under my planks. Been mostly to resorts in Europe and the US. I spent a week in Pamporovo many years ago. The food was good, the tuition was excellent, and the hire kit was of good quality. The snow was rather icy though. It was cheap, and no-one ripped me off or stole my kit.

Hi emma909, welcome :D As your birthday falls during the Easter Weeks, the Swiss resorts will generally be pricing their accommodation as peak weeks, so I'm not sure if you will achieve the relatively inexpensive bit. I would suggest that Zermatt, Saas Fee or Engelberg would meet the needs of the whole group.
