Such is the rich tapestry of life I guess  Wot Trencher says, about 7 or 8 for a childrens sized snowboard. |
No Trencher, not that Zardoz...this Zardoz... http://www.zardoznotwax.com/ Although I would say that if he loses the corny clothes, Sean Connery could wax my skis anytime he wants to :D As for the environmental considerations, I think it's small beer after I drove the 1000km there in my 4x4. The Notwax Company make this claim on their website:
Apparently it's a different compound to the one used on Kitchen applicances. |
Your new skis are a well respected model, I hope you will find them really good fun to ski. Congratulations :D |
Hmmm, I find taking the old wax off with an iron quite easy, perhaps I'm doing it wrong :?: I think we maybe need to talk tech..... I would never have the time to wax my skis each day, and since I'm sooo not hardcore I use Zardoz instead :D As a domestic goddess, I use Teflon quite a bit, though it's not normally that runny.... |
I do like to strip the factory wax off new skis. I hot wax clean them and it always seems to come off very dirty. Fresh wax is nice. I don't touch the edges, it's good to try the ski out as the manufacturer intended them to be used.

No, not been, but I have heard of the resort. I believe that one of the big T.O.'s take beginners there.
I may be misinterpreting your price info, but £251 for a week s/c + flights does not seem cheap (to me). |
Thanks Pavel, though I am a little confused, you said:
Would the action you took, then invalidate the warranty supplied by the manufacturer? You said that you did them for a local ski shop:
Would that shop then be selling or renting out the modified skis? |
Oh dear, half the fun is the sound :( so many different Scots accents  Okay, who has noticed the snowman disappearing? |
