Lets just say, that the uniformed staff (whoever they represented) I met at both Luton and Reus recently, were amazingly keen to issue excess baggage slips. The weighing scales were also somewhat over enthusiastic, and based on information supplied by Mitsubishi, doing the maths ) , my plain old Delsey rigid suitcase must weigh in at 6 kilos empty  The resulting charges for the outbound journey added 50% to the return flight costs. The check in scales on my airport return journey I saw go from 14.5 to 15 kg and back to 14.5kg with no external intervention. There is good money to be made from excess baggage charges on the budget airlines, and there were many puzzled tourists at Reus trying to reconcile how their luggage could get heavier with less sun cream, shower gel, yada yada I was prepared to chuck stuff out of my luggage, which would have been cheaper than pay the charges, which was not an option on my outward journey, as I had only 1 item in my case ) All UK airports have the 23kg baggage limit for H&S. |
No worries, is this your website? |
Try it fried it looks like SPAM to me

Not correct, H&S legislation for the UK baggage handlers, specifies that a single bag should be 23kg or under. Ryanair will levy an excess baggage charge at 16 kilos. It's all about maximising revenue, staff receive a bonus apparently :D |
It's simple, lets say 2 folks travelling together. Not too much luggage, so put it in one suitcase. If it's over 15kg then there will be an excess baggage charge levied, despite both travellers have paid for a luggage allowance. They don't allow pooling of weight allowances. |
Ross, you are a shameless pimp!
Just wanted to say that  |
Scarlet Fez great news that you're on the case with the help of your fitter. If his wedge does not resolve the problem, then it may be worth dropping cem a line, and paying him a visit. If you are able to get to MK, he's not too far from there. As I have had 2 operations on one foot, I find his expertise invaluable in getting my repaired foot balanced in ski boots as well as in all my footwear. Painful feet are not fun, and ski boots are not a forgiving environment for tender feet. Here's a link to cem's stretching exercises pages. http://www.solutions4feet.com/cp7.php Please let us know how you get on with your wedge :D |
Will you have enough money to see you through to the spring?
If it's a yes, then you should not feel guilty, it's not your fault you have no work right now, and you have a duty to live your life to the full :D |
