Brucie, with skins, you don't do lift queues, or lifts for that matter :D |
Have a look here, to get a comparison....
http://ski-hire.twinner-sports.co.uk/ski-rental/la-plagne They have a shop in Montchavin. |
There are skin tight thermals available from retailers such as Snow and Rock. http://www.snowandrock.com/Department/Clothing/Thermals/List/ Alternatively I found some Falke compression thermals recently in a branch of TK Maxx, for 1/3rd of the retail price. |
What is not so good, is that the photographer is reported to be now looking for another job. Despite taking the photo in his own time with his own camera, his employer, who contracts with the resort, has bowed to pressure over him "showing the resort in a bad light".

I just knew that this thread would turn into a kit fest. Just wait until they get onto comparing the length of their ice axes :D
Ross When choosing a set of skins, if you can get them pre-cut to suit, go for it. I did the cut on my Colltex and I found it quite stressful. In one hand, a cheap Stanley knife and in the other hand, £100 worth of skins. with the 1st cut, there is no going back! |
Yes, it's called skiing :D |
Think I'll let ise answer this, with the exception of the so-called "play" in Fritschi Freeride bindings.
How did you "see" the play? I own some Freeride+, and I can't seem to achieve any "play". To me, they seem just as good as alpine bindings, much lighter, of course. |
Oooh, you have sooo long to wait :( :D |
