I believe that quite a bit of the overcharging that carriers/airlines/T.O's seem to be indulging in right now is down simply to not knowing their product.
I would always put my boots in my main case, locked, and transfer my underwear and thermals ) into my hand luggage. A friends' daughter went through Bristol with ski boots in hand luggage last year. Airport "securidee" refused to allow them through and took them off her. She purchased another pair of boots in resort, and reported her original pair were not at Bristol on her return. Expensive ski trip. |
Gordon Bennett  For how many people? (My apologies to all Gordon Bennetts out there) |
The grip should be comfy in your hand when you are wearing your gloves. Avoid small grips. Try and get a pair with decent sized baskets. Too many poles these days are supplied with teeny little disc baskets which are hopeless if it snows.
You should be able to get a decent budget pair for £15-£20 I reckon. |
So, tell all then, how did you get on? :D |
Of course, we will need to see the pictures, day or night :D

I remain convinced that you are THE rock magnet for the whole valley ) |
That is the main road, it's 2 way, and you share it with lorries carrying whole tree trunks, locals and the Postbus (which has right of way of course) ) |
